Our materials are products of nature. Color range and varying veining is to be expected. Due to the stones' natural character and our fabricating process we cannot guarantee consistencies in color.

The natural stone slabs are placed on a rack and sent through the 'Wheel-A-Brator'. As it passes through the machine, stainless steel shot is whipped at the surface of the stone with great force. The final texture varies depending on the hardness of the stone; where the stone is very dense less of the quartz crystals are removed; where the stone is less dense more of the surface is removed.
The Cambrian Cream and Carmel Cream texture is similar to inverted coarse sandpaper. The Aqua texture is less dramatic because of the composition of the Aqua and where the stone minerals change so does the degree of removal of the surface.

Smooth finish has a glossy and reflective surface. Brings out the character of the natural stone. This process takes a special polishing machine which has 6 different heads that contain 4 bricks on each head. Each brick has a different texture, ranging from diamond bricks to buffing bricks. The 6 step process transforms the stone surface from the dull sawn surface to a very high gloss.
NOTE: The Carmel Cream material varies dramatically- abundant color variations ranging from tan, auburn and terracotta; containing light to heavy variations of chocolate veining.

A specially designed machine applies a hot flame to the surface of the stone. The flame’s heat can reach 1,800ºF. This action heats the crystals in the stone and pops the stone’s surface creating a slightly rough texture with a low sheen. If an area of stone is weak this process removes more of the weaker area giving an extremely unique texture. This process also enhances the color of the stone while leaving a slip-resistant surface. This texture is by far our most popular. It does pull a light crimson tint to the Cambrian Cream.
