Full Depth (3-5”+) and Thin Veneer (¾” to 1½”+)
For nearly four decades Krukowski Stone Company Inc. has quarried and manufactured a wide selection of colors, textures, and styles of full depth veneer and thin veneer products from our various quarries located throughout north-central Wisconsin.
Over the years we have increased our collection by opening new quarries, and offering new materials, as well as expanding our equipment to offer more varieties of textures and sizes. These expansions have enabled Krukowski Stone Co.; Inc. to greatly increased our color, texture and style options. Krukowski Stone Company Inc. offers more than 100 varieties of full depth and thin veneers. We also produce coordinating sills, hearths, mantels, caps, quoins, keystones, arch stones, and fireplace surrounds. These products are available in several stone choices and texture options-please view these products in our custom cut stone section.
Our collections include ashlars/random ashlars, ledge-rocks in both sawn and natural heights, mosaic/boulders, palace blends, planking, and sawn-height veneers. If there is a particular look or style that you desire but do not see in our collection please contact our office, we will work diligently to come up with a unique product that is exactly what you and your client are looking for.
Our primary and most popular warm, earth toned, stone class is our quartz cemented sandstone; specifically named Upper Cambrian Quartzite Sandstone. This material encompasses Sandy Creek, Highland Brown, Chestnut, Apple Creek , Glacier Bay and it’s sawn version named Cambrian Cream.
Our unique Aqua Blue and in its sawn form is named Aqua Grantique a hornblende gneiss. This is a rich dark green to black color with olive green and white quartz veining. The Aqua line is available in its natural boulder form, or sawn into many products for both the building and landscape industries. This includes several sawn height, split-faced veneers, retaining wall, flagstone, patterned flooring, countertop slabs, tile, custom caps, hearths, sills, and custom cladding panels.
Our Wisconsin granite cobbles and boulders have been a long time staple item. We have expanded this line by sawing the large boulders into 6” slabs and splitting them into a sawn height veneer or retaining wall stone in split-face or tumbled textures as well as using the whole slab as a landscaping step. We also produce a 3 cm thick slab where a thermal texture is applied to the surface for a unique landscape flagstone. This product line is called Klassic Granite.
Opportunities have also allowed our company to expand into the popular Wisconsin dolomite limestone products as well.
The equipment used to process the raw materials into useable building products is tremendous. Our 14,500 SF split shop facility houses six specially designed hydraulic guillotine splitters that break the massive stone slabs into finished architectural or landscaping products. This facility also includes a boulder splitter and a trimmer to do small end trimming. Our 47,500 SF slab and sawing facilities house some of the newest European machinery to transform our massive stone blocks into sought after materials for the building industry.
