Quarry Laborer

The Quarryman Laborer job involves operating heavy equipment to remove blocks, and boulders from dimensional stone quarry.  Operating hydraulic drills, running wire saws, operating front end loaders, as well as haul trucks and backhoes.  In addition, employee will be responsible for sorting and grading grade and packaging material on pallets, in crates or poly bags, stone, loading trucks, and transferring materials to manufacturing plant.  Employee will be responsible for maintaining and servicing equipment and being proactive as well as keeping the work area clean.  Physically strong, must be able to lift 70+ pounds in a fast-paced environment. 

We are looking for ambitious, energetic, dependable employees who possess leadership qualities and are forward thinkers.  Previous work experience in stone quarry is a must.  Drilling experience favored but we are willing to train the right person.  Manage time well, maintain equipment, use logic and reason, identify problems and develop and evaluate options for solutions. Knowledgeable of MSHA laws. Listen and understand info and ideas presented.  Applicant must also work well with others.  Must be safety minded and possess mechanical skills.  Have valid driver’s license and dependable vehicle or reliable way to get to work.

Split Shop Worker

This position involves maneuvering various size stones onto a machine that will break the stone into a usable building or landscape product.  As well as maneuvering stone slabs and deciding what is the best product to split to make the most of the original stone piece.  Employee will be responsible for maintaining and servicing equipment and being proactive as well as keeping the work area clean.  Must be physically strong, and able to lift, pull, and push 70+ pounds in a fast-paced environment.  Besides being the operator and maneuverer, said employee will also be responsible for stacking stone onto pallets. That includes, taking stone off the line, sorting it, and placing it onto the correct pallet in a neat and uniform manner.  Besides the two main jobs, sweeping and cleaning up areas, creating custom orders from the office, and helping out in other areas when needed are required.

Saw Shop Laborer

Our stone laborer will set up our CNC machines to cut stone according to job specifications, using data entry. Must possess great math skills as well as being able to read and use a tape measure. CNC or comparable experience preferred.  They will also be required to perform finishing processes as needed onto the stone, package material, hand build wood crates, verify that tools and equipment are working properly, and perform maintenance. When not working on the CNC machine, employee is responsible for assisting other employees and keeping the work area clean. Physically strong, must be able to lift 70+ pounds in a fast-paced environment.

Administrative Assistant

For this job, you will be responsible for doing multiple tasks. You will get trained as our main receptionist, as well as assist in sales and marketing. Job duties include: answering and directing phone calls in a polite and friendly manner, managing the front desk as well as daily administrative tasks, welcoming customers/truck drivers in a friendly manner, and obtaining truck empty weights by directing drivers onto the scale and scaling them in. Our front end employee must maintain a clean and organized work area, must be technologically savvy, and must be able to operate standard office equipment. They are also responsible for sending out sample boards which means finding the correct sample board from inventory, packaging it in acceptable packaging, and sending it to the correct company or person using our shipment system. Lastly, this person is also responsible for our digital footprint, meaning  creating timely and appropriate social media posts and aiding in marketing our catalogs, website, and social media.

Qualifications:

  • One to Three years of proven sales or marketing experience, or an Associate’s Degree in said field

  • Strong working knowledge of business communication methods such as phone and email etiquette, professional letter formats and styles, memoranda, and reports
